The following are opportunities for you to get involved in ACT: 

  • Travel to Uganda (approximately 3 weeks travel; approximately $2,500-$3000/person). Contact Sue Waechter

  • Help pack and ship handcrafts sold online (once a month volunteer position). Contact Sue Waechter

  • Host a handcraft party. Learn more about it!

  • Work shifts at local art fairs selling our handcrafts. Contact Sue Waechter

  • Sew placemats, bags, etc. with African fabric to sell at the Uniquely Uganda store and art fairs. Contact Anne Moll

  • Donate to scholarships for students ($300 per year). Donate here - select HONORS Scholarship Fund or Maverick Leadership Scholarship Fund

  • Sponsor the health program to provide birthing kits, sample menstrual packs, and education to women and girls . Donate here - select HEAL Program

  • Assist with Muko Stringed Instruments for Children (MUSIC) program, teaching Muko Sub-County children music via Zoom. Contact Karen Viele

Join an ACT team:

  • Agriculture HANDS Team (Helping Agricultural New Development and Sustainability Team) meets monthly to manage the agriculture program in conjunction with the HANDS Team in Muko Sub County, promoting and supporting education and the advancement of successful and sustainable agricultural projects.   • Communications Team meets monthly to develop and maintain clear, accessible, and current communication through social media and email. Contact Diane Busch

  • The Resource Development Team meets monthly to manage the donor database, write grants and oversee fundraising activities. Contact Sue Waechter

  • HEAL Team (Health is Elemental to All Life) meets several times a year to provide resources and expertise to help ACT Health Promotion workers in Uganda set priorities and carry out health and social action plans. Contact Robin Stottlemyer
